Want your own logo and branding in your patient facing App?

In this article, we will explain what a white-label app is and which functionalities you can leverage within your own application.

WeGuide Whitelabel App Settings

First, we will explain what a Whitelabel App is, whereafter we will explain what you can turn on/off and what you can customise

What is a whitelabel app?

Simply put - a whitelable app is a WeGuide app with your own branding, logo and styleguide, that your users can search for and download in the app stores.

If you search for WeGuide in the app stores, you will find the WeGuide application. The application has our logo, our name and is managed by our developer account. In certain situations, clients want to have their own branded app. This means that they will have their own application in the store, with their own name, under their own account. If a user would open this app,  the colour scheme would be matching the brand guidelines of the client, instead of the ones from WeGuide.

Underneath an example of how a Whitelabel app would look in the App Store. If you want to see the actual listing in the app store, then please click here.

What you're able to do inside your white label app

We will explain the different things that you can customise, turn or off and configure inside your own whitelabel application

Your own apps

If you decide to use your own whitelabel application, then you will get your own app in the iOS and Android app stores. You need to decide on the app and if required, we can help you with your application logo and helping to pick your colour scheme. In order to get your own app in the stores, you will need to setup developers accounts for Apple and Google. We will help you work through all of this.

Custom welcome screens

Your whitelabel app will have its own splash screen and welcome screens, where you can explain to users what your app is about. Underneath you can find an example of these onboarding screens. (Adding welcome screens is optional, but enhances the user experience)

Example of the 4 onboarding screens that the WeGuide application has.

Custom login & signup flow

You will be able to customise the login & signup flow for your users. You are able to do the following:

  • Turn off signup. This is helpful in case you decide to enrol all users via the admin portal and you don't want them to create an account themselves
  • Sign up by means of a referral code. You can restrict signup to people who have the right referral code. Without the code, they won't be able to sign up. This is helpful in case you want to restrict the access to your application
  • Turn off email and SMS messages. This is used by clients that don't want to send any SMS or emails to participants, but only push messages. When participants will sign up, there communication preference will be set to "no e-mail and SMS"

Multi-language

WeGuide by default is deployed in English, but we support multiple languages within the application itself. On request, the multi-language functionality can be turned on, so that your application will be available in a variety of languages. In case you want to learn more about our multi languages capabilities, have a look at our multi-language article.

Branding

You will be able to specify the colour palette, the app logo and some of the imagery inside your white-label application. The app is built in such a way that the colour palette will be implemented throughout the whole application.

Besides, on the pick platform page, you can now link the "Learn more" button to a specific website, for example, your own website.

Optional Pincode

opensYou can decide if you want to give your participant the option to enable a 4 or 6-digit pincode in their application. Every time the participant will open the app, they will be asked to enter their PIN code. The pin code can be reset in case it's forgotten. The participant will receive an e-mail or SMS by which they can reset their PIN code. The participant can change the pincode via their app settings.

Custom imagery

WeGuide is using animated imagery inside the app, to make our app more engaging. By default, we updated our images to your primary colour. If required, we can also replace our images with your preferred images. You can send us your preferred image, we can help you create it or you can pick one from a site like https://lottiefiles.com/.. If you decide to pick one yourself, you are responsible for making sure that you're allowed to use the animation in your app. In the example underneath, you can find an example of animated imagery that is currently available in our app. And underneath it, you will find an example of custom imagery.

Settings

By default, app users are able to update their preferences via the settings and they are able to join additional programs. On request, we can turn off some of these functionalities, so that the application is simpler for users. This is quite often used when clients only have a single program and don’t have a need for users to join multiple programs.

Wording changing

You will be able to pick your own wording for the following sections

  1. Goals. You can define how the goal section is called and change it accordingly (e.g. Your Care Plan, etc)
  2. Completed Entries
  3. Welcome Letter
  4. Tasks for today
  5. Your Current Exercise
  6. Ability to hide or show when the next task is coming for the user
  7. Ability to tailor hyperlink for the Learn More button on the Pick Platform page.

Splash screen

You will be able to customise for how long you want the splash screen to be visible in your application. Normally, the splash screen is only shown when the application loads, but on request, we can extend this duration.

Custom page/component

Together with our parent company, Curve Tomorrow, we're able to create custom components for your application. We can add these as new pages, or even make them part of the navigation bar. If you're interested in this, just reach out to your Implementation Manager to discuss.
