Would you like to add scoring to your questionnaires?

This guide outlines how you can use Scoring in the WeGuide system for individual questionnaires.

You can use scoring to implement evidence based surveys such as PROMs and PREMs.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Different calculation types

Scoring can be calculated to a set of questions in three specific ways that are listed below:

  • Summation: The total score is calculated based on all questions’ responses.

  • Mean: Mean is calculated as the total response score divided by the number of questions in the survey.

  • Percentage: The formula for calculating the percentage is the total score divided by the sum of scores multiplied by 100.
  • It is a basic percentage calculation applied in the backend to derive the response per cent of questions.

How Scoring works

  • Every individual question can be assigned weightage based on its significance in the overall survey.

1. First, you need to toggle on the scoring checkbox for each question.

2. You can add the corresponding score in the right-hand column for each response when adding a question.

Note the index - is the order in which your questions will appear, 1 is at the top, and descends correspondingly from there

Here is an example of how to assign a Score to the respective questions:

Setup your form graph

Once you've enabled scoring on your form, you can specify the minimum and maximum Y axis of your form. In case you don't set it, then the Y axis will be dynamic and will take the lowest and highest value that is submitted for the participant as the minimum and the maximum.

thatExample of a score which has the minimum set to -40 and the maximum to 60.

  • Once the respondent attempts all of the assigned surveys, an Admin or Clinician can check their response from the Participant’s dashboard. Here is an example:

Limitations

  • This feature only works with limited question types, namely Single choice, Multiple choice, Slider questions, Number question types.
  • It does not apply to Video questions, Photo questions & Text questions.
  • WeGuide currently does not support sub scores - this is currently in our product roadmap. If this is something you would like please inform your Customer Success manager.
