We all make mistakes, or sometimes we need to clear out our records! In this article, we will explain how you can delete an existing record.

How to delete a record

Follow the steps underneath to delete a record

• Step 1: Go to the individual record page 
• Step 2: Delete a record

Step 1: Go to the individual record page 

• Via the Record dashboard click on a Record ID in order to open the individual record page. You can search for your records by using the sorting and filtering functionalities available

Step 2: Delete a record

• Click on the delete button as highlighted in the image underneath. This will bring up a modal that will ask you to confirm if you want to delete this record.

Click on Delete to start the deletion process. You will be asked to confirm the deletion request. 

• In order to delete a record, you need to enter the Record ID. Once you've entered the correct Record ID and press "Delete record", then the record will be deleted.

Consequences of deleting record:

• All data from this record will be permanently deleted. It will no longer show up in the program data export. 
• No more data can be collected for this record.
• All engagements that were related to this record will be deleted.
• Participants will no longer be linked to this record. If this was the only record that they were linked to within this program, then they will no longer be linked to this program anymore.
